This intrepid class starship was recently completed at the Avalon Shipyards and equipped with the latest in Starfleet technology. She is currently docked Starbase 565 awaiting a crew. Those lucky Starfleet officers who serve aboard this vessel will be witness to the exploration of hundreds of star systems, will be party to the defense of the Federation against her enemies, and will become the finest  Starfleet officers in the galaxy.
